Danilo Ribeira – Jiu Jitsu Superstar

Do you remember when Danilo Ribeira, a big name in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, won the first ever Olympic gold medal? This would be the time when Ribeira would become known as only the best practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the world. He is the one who fought and won against the great Gracie Jacare Souza in the semi-final match at the 1996 Olympics. But why do you think this man is so great?

I have always known that Danilo is considered the best practitioner of Jiu Jitsu in the world. However, I am also the one who could not do much about it. I had tried everything that I know about combat sports and I still failed. When I was young I was always afraid that I may not be able to do it. I was always told by people that I must have the energy, strength and the skill of the greatest fighter to be able to fight. However, as I grew up I realized that these things are God given and we can do anything that we put our minds to.

I can tell you that Danilo’s ability to focus and concentrate far exceeds that of most people. He can keep his mind set on the task at hand even when he is tired and beaten down. If he is doing something completely different that is not necessarily a disadvantage, but it is good to know that he has other skills like an energizer and a good sport that will not make him feel tired.

The energizer is something that we all need, no matter what kind of profession we are into. Danilo Ribeira has an energizer that gives him the strength to continue what he is doing and push himself further. He is not lacking in strength or stamina, even though he is forty-two years old. It is because he knows how to use his setor and de energia to his advantage.

The second skill that Danilo Ribeira has been his mind. He is not only a highly skilled athlete but also has an excellent mind for both sports and life in general. His ability to focus gives him the will power to win the fights that he has chosen. The ability to focus will give him the mental edge over many of his opponents in the sport of mixed martial arts.

The final skill that Danilo Ribeira posses is a good sport, a very good sport in fact. He is a great technician and an excellent technician at that. What he lacks however is the ability to dominate in competitions and the ability to defeat someone with sheer physical power. I believe that he will have to overcome this for a while though as he is still learning the business side of mixed martial arts.
